End Days

A hot topic today is the prediction that the End Days are near. Specifically the date is set for December 21 2012. Although there is zero scientific evidence that anything will happen, there are numerous theories about the form the end days will take. The leading candidates are a geomagnetic reversal, solar mass ejection, asteroid strike. or something more intimate, like a flu pandemic, or a nuclear war.

A geomagnetic reversal seems the least likely candidate for mass extinction. a prevailing misunderstanding is that the earths crust will suddenly rotate 180 degrees. The truth though is that the magnetic field has reversed in the past and will reverse again. Physically though the earths crust will maintain the same spatial relationship it always has. The danger of a pole shift comes from the weakening of the magnetic field during the change; which would put the earth’s radiation shield on low power and make us vulnerable to the next End Days threat. Scientists believe the next pole shift is not’t due for 1000 years though.

Solar mass ejections happen periodically. The sun has times when its surface is more turbulent than others. It seems every 11 years the turbulence peaks. interestingly, the year 2012 does fall within the next predicted peak cycle. normally the earth’s surface is protected from the bombardment of solar radiation by its magnetic field. place a moderate solar ejection at a time when the magnetic field is weak and an End Days scenario is easy to imagine. but why stop there, realistically a direct hit by a large solar flare would literally burn the atmosphere off the planet. there is no reason to believe this solar cycle will be any more violent than the previous millennium of solar cycles though.

The ramifications of a collision with a large asteroid or other heavenly body have recently been exploited fully by many different movies and documentaries. The leading theory on the extinction of the dinosaurs is based on such a collision. Life forms that survive the initial shock wave and firestorm are ultimately doomed by the break in the food chain cause by a world encircling dust cloud. this is a likely End Days scenario because there is ample proof it has happened before, and it will happen again. Right now we haven’t detected a large body that will cross our orbit; if Planet X was going to show in 2012 it could easily be seen today by amateur astronomers.

Current events indicated that a flu pandemic or nuclear war would be great candidates for an End Days event. The swine flu or H1N1 has been documented thoroughly as it traversed the world since it was first recognized in Mexico. Recently reports indicated some strains have already become drug resistant. The Mayan Calendar is arguably the main reason why the 2012 doomsday predictions and theories are getting as much attention as they are. According to the Mayan calendar, the end of the world is soon to happen. Let me explain what the Mayan calendar is and how it works.

The Mayan calendar is an ancient calendar that was in use at least 600 B.C. The Mayans were great at observing the universe and was able to make a calendar that is more accurate and arguably way better than the popular calendar in use today.

This Calendar has no need for a varying number of days for each month, since there are 13 months instead of 12. This is more natural since there are closer to 13 full moons that 12 during a year. The calendar is also extremely long, as a matter of fact it takes more than 5000 years to complete. The final date of this calendar is on December 21, 2012 and therefore this calendar have gotten a lot of attention.

Whether the Mayans meant that the world will end when the calendar had completed or not is unknown. While some people are terrified of what might happen, others believe this date signifies a human ascension phase as we move into the age of Aquarius.

Unfortunately much information about the Mayans were destroyed by the Spanish people when they took over in 1697. because the Spanish destroyed most of their documents, we don’t know what they contained.

Is December 21 2012 going to be Doomsday 2012?

Well, yes and no …

Lord knows as this date approaches there will be the “end of the world” preachers and cults springing up all around the world. the media will surely get behind that with both feet running. seems our society will do this with a passing comet or millennium change or even a new eclipse.

What we do know … the Mayan Calendar does not foretell the end of the world perse’. however it does foretell a negative prophecy in 2012, and an “end of times”, which the earth has seen several times as we know; civilizations have fallen, disease and plagues have changed nations. “Times” so to speak have always died out to be replaced with newer times.

Does that mean we are out of the woods completely? Well not exactly, and here is why. the Mayan calendar points to a time in the near future where something dramatic will happened to end the “times”. what do we know about that could possibly be this transforming experience? An experience so dramatic that it could change the way we live on the earth? Solar flares- that exceed the size and duration of any in recorded history. this is not just simply a guess, or prophesy of any kind.

Our sun has a solar cycle of 11 years at which time it produces sun spots. it is believed this happens due to a relationship between the sun and Jupiter. both the sun and Jupiter (the largest planet in our solar system) actually wobble in their positions. we believe the Sun remains still but it actually wobbles millions of miles due to the gravitational relationship between its self and Jupiter. this sort of shakes the mass of the sun which in turn causes solar flairs at the time of the sun spots every 11 years.

In 2012 this wobbling well be directly on its cycle to produce these solar flairs. Thats not all …

Our solar system (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are like a disk of sorts as we all know. Well this tiny disk compared to the galaxy is usually just above the flat edge of the larger disk that is the Milky way. our solar system orbits in the Milky way as due the planets around the sun. in 2012, our disk will be moving from the top of the Milky way disk and into the center. Picture a round pizza (Milky way) and we are one pepperoni. we usually sit on the top just like the pepperoni. however in 2012 the pepperoni will move inside the crust of the pizza. our solar system will move into the center of the Milky way as it does every 21,000 years. at this time our solar system will be in complete alignment with all the gravitational forces of the Milky way on one horizontal plane. this will exert tremendous forces on our solar system. this will coincide with the normal 11 year cycle of the sun and its solar flares. furthermore, the sun’s magnetic polar axis is due to shift again in 2012 on its normal cycle.

The facts are in and the truth is in 2012 we will be in danger of extreme solar flare activity that could potentially knock out all electrical systems on earth. it just depends on how strong these flares will be, something that no one really knows at this time.

Its kind of like living near a swollen river. You know there is a large storm coming but you don’t know how large the storm will be. You know you will be in danger of flooding to some extent, but you just don’t know how much yet. Honestly, this is the situation that we will face in 2012, maybe even sooner.

I try to keep in mind that every since I was a small kid, someone somewhere has foretold of the “end times”. I personally don’t believe in that sort of mythology. But the truth is the planet has taken extreme abuses in history be that of asteroids or ice ages that are just a part of living in the physical world; as are solar flares.

A small solar flare in March of 1989 destroyed some power grids in North America. this solar cycle which begins in 2012 will be at the same time as our solar system moves into the center of the disk of the Milky way. the importance of that is that we will suddenly be susceptible to extreme gravitational forces from the galaxy its self, which will disrupt or aggravate the normal solar flare cycle.

It is certain we will experience disruptive solar flares that will almost certainly knock out some satellites. these flares could be strong enough to shut down power grids on a global scale. we just wont know until the time comes really. this is however something you should be aware of, and take any necessary precautions to be able to live without power for days to weeks. Power is something we take for granted, but what would you do if it were simply gone for weeks at a time?

With all the changes occurring in the world, you don’t need to be a psychic to see that there is a significant shift in the direction the wind is blowing.

The planet earth was rotating in the house of Pisces for the last approximately 2000 years. now, the planet is moving into the astrological house of Aquarius. This shift from the Piscean Age into the Aquarian Age may take hundreds of years, maybe more or maybe less. nobody knows how long this shift will actually take because none of us remember that last time such a shift occurred, which was right around the time of the birth of Jesus.

We have all heard the predictions of the end of the world in 2012. we have been told that the Mayan prophecies predict the end of our world on December 21, 2012. This is not exactly correct. in actuality, the Mayan calendar extends for thousands of years beyond that date. we must, however, acknowledge that with the shift of the positions of the planets and the changing of the astrological age, there are going to be a lot of changes occurring in our world. It may very well seem as if the world is coming to an end, simply because the world we have known will soon evolve into something quite different.

Science and physics have taught us that everything vibrates. Vibration is what makes matter appear solid. Vibrations are the brain waves that give us the ability to think. Vibrations of light give us colors in varying wavelengths. Vibrations of all things give us sound waves that enable us to hear. beyond this, our explorations of space via the Hubble telescope and information coming from various satellites and probes, has proven to us that the whole universe is vibrating. The planets themselves make distinct sounds and images as a result of their vibrations.

As the planets change position, these vibrations are going to change. This is science. This is fact. This is verifiable. any changes in vibration are going to affect us. If the changes in vibrations of one planet affect us, imagine how the changes in vibrations of an entire solar system, or galaxy, or maybe even farther beyond our galaxy, are going to have an effect that is multiplied many times many!

This shift in vibrations is actually manifesting itself already. Physical changes are occurring to our planet, new ailments and diseases are changing the science of medicine, new discoveries are propelling us even more quickly into the future than ever before. just look back as little as 10 years. Did you know, back in 2001, that you would have an entire computer on your phone? Did you predict that in as little as 10 years there would essentially be no more “free” television in the US? although we all hoped for it, did you truly envision the possibility of actually seeing almost as many hybrid vehicles on the road as purely gas-powered ones?

Our planet, our science, and our own personal selves are making rapid changes. we are being thrust headlong into the Aquarian Age whether we like it or not!

Everything about energy and vibrations are changing. more and more people are turning away from the traditional organized religions. we are changing our perceptions of family, education, and even how we make money! The age of Pisces was an age of right versus wrong, good versus evil, God versus The Devil. There were two sides to every issue. as we move into the Aquarian Age we start to see a massive shift from seeing things as 2-sided, to seeing the complexity of issues. we are starting to realize deep within ourselves that there are many shades of grey. Far more than 2 sides. There is not just good versus evil; but there are varying degrees of what is good, and what is not so good. Evil is becoming less and less defined.

As a result, people are feeling like the floor is falling out from underneath them. Religions once held up as pillars of our society are showing their true colors. The Catholic Church, for example, once considered either purely “good” or purely “evil” depending on your point of view, is now looking like a mess of confused, men and women ill-prepared to deal with their own issues. The governments we once thought were secure and absolutely authoritarian are now toppling one after another. The response of most people is to cling even tighter to what they believe in. they are afraid of letting go, being lost without a compass. Some of these people would rather kill and die than let go of what they consider to be the truths of their religions, governments, or societal norms.

On the other hand, more and more of us are embracing new ways of thinking. New ways of finding out what is true to us and what long-held beliefs we are ready to let go of. Many thousands are turning to a new spirituality. even God, who was once absolute, is being questioned. we are starting to question everything we have been taught. in the Piscean Age, to question God was considered “evil.” Because there were only 2 possibilities; good versus evil. but, now we are finding that when we question God, we learn more than we ever dreamed. we are learning that the possibilities are endless and that, no matter what you call God, or how you identify your idea of God, you cannot put the Eternal one in a box and put that box on a shelf to be defined and worshiped from a distance. that Eternal Spirit longs for a real connection with us.

Many more individuals are being spiritually awakened. they are feeling their senses coming alive. Some of them feel that they are going crazy, sensing things they never felt before and experiencing stuff beyond their imaginations.

The shift that the Mayans identified as 2012, the end of the world, may very well be partly due to a thinning of the curtain between the unseen world and the world of form! I know that some of these changes will be harsh, maybe even catastrophic in terms of changes in our environment, and ways of survival. but, with change comes new opportunities. Much has been said, written, and speculated about what is really going to happen in the year 2012. This year, and specifically, the date December 21, 2012 has been said to have great significance in the Mayan calendar. This is the date that has brought about much conversation and fear that it will be the final day of Earth’s existence. It is said to be a prophecy, since the Mayan calendar ends on this date. The fact that the Mayan calendar terminates on such an arbitrary date prompts many to believe that Mayan predictions foresaw the end of the world coming long before anyone else.

The Mayan Long Count Calendar is a rather peculiar calendar, and it’s easy to see why the Mayan predictions are believable based on how the calendar is structured. It starts on August 11, 3114 BC, marked as the creation of the world by the Mayans. This creation date is written 0.0.0.0.0 in the Mayan representation. The first digit represents the *baktun, and each baktun lasts exactly 144,000 days, or 394.3 solar years. every digit except the second from the right rolls back to 0 on the 20th iteration; the remaining digit rolls back to 0 after 18th iteration. The 13th baktun, which we are currently in, started on September 18, 1618.

The calendar rolls over to the 14th baktun on December 21, 2012-a cycle that would have lasted 5,125 years from the beginning. according to the Mayans, this is called the Great Cycle. perhaps the Mayan predictions pointed to something even bigger, called the precession of the equinoxes. The earth’s axis of rotation moves very slowly, making one complete rotation every 26,000 years. This is given as a plausible reason for why the Mayans ended their calendar on that date in 2012, because this not only is this the date for the winter solstice, but the Earth will complete its precession on that day as well.

The Mayans were technologically advanced for their time. They were extremely proficient in mathematics, which would make setting such a date seem plausible, even if it seems rather arbitrary to the layperson. But should we be concerned about December 21, 2012? will mass destruction and polar shifts occur, much like what we’ve seen in the movies? Chances are that we’ll probably wake up that day and it’ll be just like any other day, and much like the fervor around Y2K, this might be all for naught. as we approach that supposedly fateful day, the Mayan prophecies will be in the back of everyone’s minds.
