The Price Of Solar Panels Is Declining

The cost of solar panels will become more affordable in the foreseeable future. This is due partly because of new research found that extends the life of a solar panel. Once expected only to last 20 years, new results found that the true life expectancy of solar panels is 30 years. This will encourage more consumers to choose this kind of renewable energy as an alternative to traditional electricity grids.

Green research institutes as well as various governments have been encouraging consumers to choose solar energy. In addition to encouraging consumers, they have also been encouraging financial institutions such as banks to make the finances available for this type of purchase.

Governments across the globe including Europe and China have been listening to these environmentalists and have been offering incentive packages for the installation of solar panels. This has increased the demand and lowered the prices of solar panels. The US and India are expected to implement similar incentive plans for their citizens as well. This will push demand even further, and prices even lower.

Before, I mentioned how this type of renewable energy will pay for itself and here is why: the major expense of solar panels is the purchase of the actual equipment and its installation. The rest is almost free because you do not have to pay for the energy source.

There are optimistic goals set out in the renewable energy industry. Some experts in the field are setting their expectations as high as having half of Europe dependent on solar energy in comparison to electricity grids as soon as 2020. Not only that, but with increased demand and usage it will make solar energy as cheap as buying it from an electricity grid.

Increase demand for renewable energy is growing around the globe. This means that the solar panel industry will boom, creating more profits for the companies involved, allowing them to cut costs even further.

You can save more money with a DIY solar panel and then install your own residential solar panel. This and other unique content \’\’ articles are available with free reprint rights.

Dreams from God

When we speak of divine revelations, the most common forms may be dreams and visions. We know that God still speaks today and dream is one way He sends His messages. Of course, not all dreams carry divine information. In fact most of them are induced by frequent day time stimulations and mental activities. As it says in Ecclesiastes, dreams come through busyness. People also experience dreams that are related to body senses during sleep. Like what you probably have experienced, dreams of toilet because you had nature call.

Not all dreams are from God, worse still some are from evil spirits. In Deuteronomy chapter 13 we clearly see dreams of this nature. If a dreamer gives people some sort of signs and it came to pass. But then he uses the opportunity to promote idol worship. This man must be stoned to death. Obviously, the dream was not from God but from evil spirits. There are often temptations to lead people to perish. We must be watchful enough to discern and resist them.

The bible clearly documented many instants which God speaks to men with dreams. These examples are throughout the whole Bible including the Old Testament and the New Testament. Jacob saw a ladder to heaven with angels going up and down in Bethel. Joseph said the sun, the moon and eleven stars bowing to him in dreams and later it came to pass that his father, mother and brothers all bowed to him in Egypt.

Like all other things that God does, He gives divine dreams with a purpose. In some special occasions in the Bible, God gave significant dreams that affected the whole generation and the age to come. These kind of big dreams seem to be no more after the writing of the scripture is completed. But God still speaks through dreams today, with more personal purposes. We have heard witnesses in which God gave genuine divine dreams helping someone to become more mature, to be saved and to preach the gospel. A very important biblical truth about dreams which the reader should learn is that no one in the bible has ever asked for a dream. We believe that no one should do that, either.

Sometimes God gives dreams to reveal His divine plan for the future in order to make people aware and prepared for the things to come, like what happened in the story of Daniel. God would also speak to stubborn souls with dreams to reveal His will and try to stop someone from sinning.

It must be clear that any kind of special revelation that are received by anyone today must be override the authority of the canonized Bible. People must not despise prophetic messages but test them with truth. Therefore, rather than chasing after prophetic experiences, believers are reminded to spend time praying and studying the Bible in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Learning, Teaching and Learning

How do we teach to each other? How is it that we were taught everything that we now know?

At some points in history, knowledge was elitist and even a forbidden concept. In 399 BC, Socrates explained that he was known as the wisest of all men since he understood that he knew nothing. Socrates was ultimately executed because of his unyielding questioning to the Athens population to find out how they knew what they knew.

Today, we still ask Socrates questions and have yet to fully understand the answers; nevertheless, technology is bringing us closer and closer.

Science and technology discovered is that the human brain is capable of processing 10,000 to 50,000 units or single words in one minute. But, these are older statistics from the 1980s, but new technology studying speed reading combined with brain development research indicates that you can most likely read even faster. Most high school graduates read 200 words per minute, down from 252 wpm from 25 years ago. College students, only one or two years older, have improved to 120% words per minute simply from having to read so much and the brain practicing reading so much. Regardless, of your beginning reading speed \”increases for 50-60% the first day is more than likely, in two days of reading practice \” youve doubled your reading speed.

The brain is a computer composed of human organic materials. If you were to consider your brain as the hardware (CPU = Central Processing Unit or a computers own brain) and your mind (the thoughts you think) as the software, you wouldnt be far from what the scientists evaluating the brain believe; that the mind and brain are component parts of our physical bodies is to give us an efficient way to learn more things.

The human mind is connected to our physical bodies to make life more convenient for us to learn and thrive. This amazing tool allows us to absorb a universe of knowledge in many different ways.

Childhood education creates the first limitations to reading ability. Heres what the first two years usually look like to a young learner of language: 1. First, we are introduced to the alphabet and how each letter sounds. 2. Then, we move on to put letters together into syllables and hear their unique sounds. 3. Later, we formed words and their individual pronunciations. 4. Then, we progressed to sentences and lastly paragraphs, which we read aloud.

In that learning method, we move our lips slowly and carefully so that we would pronounce each syllable and each word clearly. There were entire classes dedicated to learning how to read out loud.

We did pronounce every single word correctly, and then we were praised by our teacher and we felt the thrill and excitement because we were learning so well. Soon, it was determined that we could indeed read, so we no longer read in the classroom out loud. Most of us, however, were still concentrating on every syllable and reading each word out loud to ourselves for confirmation. This phenomenon, called sub-vocalization, is what causes us to have the 200-300 words per minute limitation to our reading speeds in high school and University. Interestingly, its the same speed at which most people talk (unless you live in the Southern US and have learned the Southern Drawl that slows you down even more).

Theres been research to show that high school students that use speed reading methods can double their reading speed. When these techniques are practiced on a regular basis, the results are even more impressive.

With the power of the brain and mind combined, you can stretch out and achieve far greater abilities. In fact, the quantity of words that can be read per minute has no bounds. It is only a persons inner voice that can limit us, stop us and confuse us while reading or studying.

These voices tend to Babble On while you are struggling to perform tasks, such as reading. It is that same voice, that can make you panic before an exam. It is only when you quiet this Babblers voice that you can truly transfer and speed read material at a phenomenal rate.

SPEED READING can assist you to overcome slow reading habits developed from your early education. You can then retrain yourself to read faster.

It is remarkable how your brain and mind have the ability to absorb thousands of bits of information in a small amount of time. You are like many people that read slowly on account of early education. You are slowed down when you are mouthing syllables and words. Even though you have developed these bad habits in early education, its great to know that from this moment on, you can retrain yourself to be a powerful SPEED READER and your potential is limitless.

One benefit of Speed Reading is that it can assist you in reading and understanding written information faster. Speed Reading is useful in careers, especially where you are required to master large volumes of information quickly. Many people run into burn out from information overload. Speed Reading assists you to absorb and retain, for later recall, all the information that you read.

Coast to Coast AM: Science Fiction Secrets 10/12

Air Date: September 16th 2009 Guest: Nick Redfern British ufologist and cryptozoologist Nick Redfern talked about his new book Science Fiction Secrets which probes the intertwining connections between works of fiction, and governmental secrecy & experiments, conspiracies, and the paranormal. Science fiction is a genre of fiction. It differs from fantasy in that, within the context of the story, its imaginary elements are largely possible within scientifically established or scientifically postulated laws of nature (though some elements in a story might still be pure imaginative speculation). Exploring the consequences of such differences is the traditional purpose of science fiction, making it a “literature of ideas”. Science fiction is largely based on writing rationally about alternative possibilities. The settings for science fiction are often contrary to known reality. Science fiction is difficult to define, as it includes a wide range of subgenres and themes. Author and editor Damon Knight summed up the difficulty by stating that “science fiction is what we point to when we say it”, a definition echoed by author Mark C. Glassy, who argues that the definition of science fiction is like the definition of pornography: you don’t know what it is, but you know it when you see it. Vladimir Nabokov argued that if we were rigorous with our definitions, Shakespeare’s play The Tempest would have to be termed science fiction. As a means of understanding the world through speculation and storytelling, science fiction has antecedents back to mythology, though precursors to science fiction as literature can be seen in Lucian’s True History in the 2nd century, some of the Arabian Nights tales, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter in the 10th century, Ibn al-Nafis’ Theologus Autodidactus in the 13th century, and Cyrano de Bergerac’ Voyage de la Terre à la Lune and Des états de la Lune et du Soleil in the 17th century. Following the Age of Reason and the development of modern science itself, Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels was one of the first true science fiction works, together with Voltaire’s Micromégas and Kepler’s Somnium. This latter work is considered by Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov to be the first science fiction story. It depicts a journey to the Moon and how the Earth’s motion is seen from there. Another example is Ludvig Holberg’s novel Nicolai Klimii iter subterraneum, 1741. (Translated to Danish by Hans Hagerup in 1742 as Niels Klims underjordiske Rejse.) (Eng. Niels Klim’s Underground Travels.) While SF has provided criticism of developing and future technologies, it also produces innovation and new technology. The discussion of this topic has occurred more in literary and sociological than in scientific forums. Cinema and media theorist Vivian Sobchack examines the dialogue between science fiction film and the technological imagination. Technology does impact how artists portray their fictionalized subjects, but the fictional world gives back to science by broadening imagination. While more prevalent in the beginning years of science fiction with writers like Arthur C. Clarke, new authors still find ways to make the currently impossible technologies seem so close to being realized.

2012 Movie Trailer

2012 Movie Trailer The end of the world is coming in 2012 or so goes the plot of this apocalyptic drama from the director of Independence Day. The movie, appropriately titled 2012, is about a group of people (led by John Cusack) trying to counteract and survive the disastrous events predicted by the Ancient Mayan calendar. Why do I get the feeling the Director Roland Emmerich has a thing for the end of the world judging from his past movies like Independence Day, Day After Tommorow, and Godzilla?? Take a look at this teaser trailer and see the destruction for yourself. Not a very long trailer but you get the idea. I assume there will be much more of the same for the whole 2 hours of this movie. Let us know what you think, does 2012 look like it could be another Independence Day? Leave a comment below. Thanks for watching. The 2012 Movie Trailer was provided by Columbia Pictures. 2012 is set for release in US movie theaters on November 13, 2009.

The Ambiance of Candles

Slate and Artsmith – The candle is a powerful symbolic feature in the human perspective. There is nothing more intimate and relaxing than the gentle flickering of a tiny flame. Its delicate dance upon wind and wick is enchanting, casting a spell upon the watcher who gazes lazily into the light.

When you watch a candles flame it almost seems alive. It moves of its own accord, devouring the wick to sustain its flame, so that it can continue to dance upon the gentlest of breezes. It is your own personal performer, an almost silent show played out before you.

The ambiance that is created by the presence of candles is ethereal. Illuminating less than regular fixtures, shadows are cast on the space, making everything seem a little less real. The world is hazy, and wavering. In such a space anything can happen. If you are alone, you may find yourself slipping into a phantasm. If you are with someone else, the dream may be shared. The possibilities are endless, and are dictated more by the will of your mind than by the realities of the world.

That is why candles are so romantic. They represent small, inefficient lights. Left in shadow we are less inhibited. Hidden behind a mask of darkness, it is easier for us to take a leap of faith, and easier someone else to accept your leap. Meanwhile, the flickering flame sets a rhythmic beat, a constant pulse of glow that acts as the backdrop to any situation.

Their romantic power is so overwhelming, that their mere presence can turn a mundane room into a passionate retreat. Try a few scattered around the bathroom, the bedroom, or even the living room. With the lights dimmed and the candles glowing, you can instantly set the mood, with little or no effort.

Candles are a powerful connection with a past set in darkness. They are the light that has sustained us through a thousand generations. Gentle yet passionate, they embody an idea of simple beauty, whose purity is its greatest asset.

PebbleZ.com offers a wide selection of gemstone candle holders, crafted from the finest semi precious natural materials. their catalog includes holders made from agate, amethyst, quartz, sodalite, and onyx.
